About
I was raised on a farm in Springtown, Texas. As a kid I spent summers looking for arrowheads in old creek beds and hopping fences to fish in other people's ponds- which is probably where the interest in regional architecture started, and the lifelong habit of designing for a specific place rather than a general one.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Architecture from the University of Houston, with a concentration in sustainable architecture.
Thirteen years: custom houses and watching them get built, then documents and construction administration, then multifamily and affordable housing, then business development.
A hundred projects designed. About half of them built. I was on the sites for those, looking at my own drawings.
Where. Design work in Texas and the Northeast. Business development across California, Colorado, Nevada and Tennessee.
What I care about now is the mechanism by which architects recapture more of the building process. Development should start with people trained to balance place, context, the person using the building, and the cost of it to the Earth. I have built homes for people who had none, and I think architecture should be reachable by more people than currently reach it.

Range
Custom residential is what I have done most of and probably what I do best. But the work has also been multifamily and affordable housing, a hundred-acre master plan, a historic landmark remodel, a hotel, a wellness campus, prefabricated modular, interiors, and a decade of pools and landscape- which people treat as a side discipline right up until the retaining wall, the terrace and the pool shell have to be one structure.
Licensure. I am not a licensed architect. I am sitting for the Architect Registration Examination- Practice Management in October 2026. I say this plainly because the work below was done in specific roles, and those roles are stated on every project.
I live in Austin. Off the clock I am usually on a beach, or making something with friends.
