A project page is a record. This page is the drawing.

Some of the best design I have done never got built, or got built under someone else's name, or exists only as the rendering that won the argument. It belongs somewhere, so it is here.

Custom houses across Jenkins Custom Homes, Cuppett Kilpatrick and my own studio. Hill country, lake, historic. Roughly fifty projects have been built across all of them, and the ones worth showing are not always the biggest.

Most of these were made to answer a question, not to sell anything- what the massing does to the street, whether the commons is big enough to draw people out of their units, what the facade looks like at dusk when the developer has only seen it in plan.

• Spanish Oaks. A custom residence, designed and never built.
• Lake Travis hillside. A house that steps down a slope steep enough to make the structure the architecture.
• A first rendition. The scheme before the one that got built- usually the braver of the two.
